Thursday 18th Wyoming and Friday 19th October 2012 Narrabeen, 80km

Thursday 18th Wyoming.

Dinner last night was good, thanks Bruce.  Craig and his family had eaten there before (some time ago) and were left unimpressed by their first experience, but I think they have changed their minds now 🙂

We had another relaxing day not doing very much at all. We did a little bit of shopping to restock the van and I did a couple of odd jobs for mum around the house.

For dinner we had pizza with Craig, Cook and Carly at their place.  It was a fun evening with lots of laughs.

Friday 19th October 2012 Narrabeen, 80km

Sunshine and blue skies, temp heading to mid to high 20’s

We took our time packing everything back into the van this morning.  It wasn’t until now that we realised that we had spread our stuff all through almost every room at mum’s place.  I guess we like the idea of all the free space!!  LOL

We will be back up in Gosford on Monday to see mum performing in a review at the Gosford RSL. Now that should be an interesting experience!

By 10am we had everything packed up and in its place and were on the road for Narrabeen.

We had a very easy trip down the highway, not much traffic which was a pleasant surprise, and we were all checked in and set up by 11:45am.

The girls at reception told me there was an Organic Market on over near Rat Park, so we walked over there to have a look and picked up some nice meat, a bit of veg and things.  Looks like its marinated chicken for dinner tonight.  We also got a really tasty lunch, I have forgotten what its called but it’s essentially spinach, cheese (maybe fetta) and beef sandwiched in the middle of a dough then cooked on a BBQ, very tasty.

After lunch we walked down to North Narrabeen Pool and had a look at the lake entrance, the pool, coastline, surf and rock pools.  It was very relaxing.

Deb had a relaxing afternoon reading and I went fishing in the lake.  There wasn’t much out there, I caught one small bream, and fed the pelicans with some of my bait.   There were schools of Bully Mullet swimming all around me, but as any boy who grew up around this lake knew, you can never catch them!

We cooked the chicken in the frying pan outside the van and enjoyed the warmth of the afternoon. The chicken was amazingly moist and so tasty.

We are looking forward to the next few days, catching up with Pat and Laura, and exploring a bit more of Sydney together.
