A new day a new place, time to head out and explore a bit more. Today we join John and Georgie for a trip back to their home in Minneapolis, for a few days catching up with their family, and a big family it is. 🙂 It will be great to catch up with them all again and see how all the young ones have grown since we were last here, 6 years ago (surely it can’t be that long ago!!).
We left a very wet New Orleans behind as we got our 10:15am flight to Atlanta Georgia to connect with our flight to Minneapolis. That makes it 14 flights so far this holiday (almost a flight every 2 days!!). We arrived in Minneapolis on time at around 3:30pm and were picked up at the airport by Georgie’s daughter Lisa (it was very nice of her to collect us all) and it was great seeing a friendly face after the long days travel.
I have been breaking the boredom of the travel by playing a new game that Carly has introduced me to, Ingress. A virtual/augmented reality game all about saving/taking-over the world, depending on whose side you are on. Not sure how wise it was walking around a US airport with my phone looking for Augmented Reality Portals to either attack, claim or reinforce. LOL, now how does one explain that to Homeland Security!! 🙂
We arrived at John and Georgie’s around 4:30, and were settled-in in no time at all. It’s always great to relax in somewhere familiar. J Just haven’t quite got used to turning light switches UP to turn them on. The little things of travel.
We had a few hours to ourselves (and caught up on a bit of washing, all fun here!) as John and Georgie made a bee-line to the hospital to see their youngest grand-daughter Naomi, and her parents Pete and Rebecca :-). They were so excited to get to the hospital to see them.
J & G arrived home full of the joys of life, mum, dad and Naomi are all doing well.
We had a delicious Indian take away for dinner and then settled back for a quiet night in.
