Thursday 3rd May 2018 Adelaide to Watermans Beach WA

We caught the 2pm flight to Perth a 31/2hr flight. Karlien flew from Sydney, 5hr flight, her plane landing 10 minutes after ours. We met at the luggage carousel, then collected our car – a hybrid, that is a first for us, took about 40 minutes to get to our Airbnb at Watermans Bay (28 km) in peak hour traffic.
We were met by Kate, who showed us around, we have lots of room, a lovely big bath and fabulous views over the Indian Ocean. I will enjoy soaking up those over the next 4 days.
After unpacking we headed to The Sandbar in Scarborough, for pre wedding drinks with P & A and about 40 of their guests. Was a lovely evening, we enjoyed catching up with everyone.
We headed home around 9.30pm, had been a long day. Karlien went straight to bed and had a long sleep, I tossed and turned as I normally do on my first night in a new place. There is always tonight!
