Woke up to a gorgeous autumn morning, great day for P & A wedding. Greg headed off to Scarborough to spend the morning with P and his mates, he enjoyed himself.
Karlien and I spent the morning chatting on the balcony enjoying the view. Before lunch, I had a walk down to the beach with the intention of going for a walk, but the tide was in and there wasn’t much of a beach.
Greg got home around 1pm and by 2pm we were on the road to A mum and dad’s place in Wanneroo. Their garden looked gorgeous, the roses were in bloom, the marque was beautifully decorated and the guests started arriving. The groom and his mates looked handsome, P was a tad nervous.
A arrived just after 3pm and she was piped in by Scottish Piper (our second piper at a wedding in a month ?) A looked gorgeous as she walked in with her dad, was lovely seeing the delight on P & A face when they saw each other.
Was a beautiful ceremony, I loved their wedding vows which they had each written.
After family photos, we had a drink and chatted to the other guests.
We sat down to dinner around 6.30pm, there was much fun and laughter as the bridal table made their entrance.
Dinner was lovely, delicious platters of food on each table to share. Then the speeches which were amusing and heartfelt, the cutting of the cake and the bridal waltz. We enjoyed having a dance.
About 10.15pm we headed home with much joy in our hearts. So lovely to see P & A so happy together, they are a perfect match.
Sunday 6th May 2018
About 8am we headed up to Wanneroo again. A mum and dad were hosting a bacon & egg breakfast and Greg had offered to help on the barbecue. There were quite a few bleary eyed people when we arrived, the night had finished around 3.30am. We enjoyed chatting to the few people there and the egg & bacon roll went down well.
We said our goodbyes around 11am.
P & A will be over in Adelaide for Greg’s birthday in 6 weeks, so not long till we see them again. ?
We had a very lazy afternoon, which was appreciated. We have an early start tomorrow. Karlien’s flight leaves at 7.40am and ours an hour later. Will be an early night for us.
