September 2022 Covid-19 is declining in the Developed World.

Total Reported Cases for September       World    14,489,592           Australia    196,829

Total Reported Deaths for September     World    52,117                   Australia              1,250

Australia followed most of the developed world and removed almost all Covid-19 restrictions through the month. The last restrictions, Quarantine, are expected to be remove in early October.

Australia stopped issuing daily Covid-19 statistics during this month, making tracking the markers difficult.

Whole city lockdowns continued in China in line with its zero tolerance policy.

All developed countries are reporting a drop in the academic results of secondary children due to the pandemic.

The war in Ukraine continues, with Russia now enlisting/calling up 300,000 reserve forces to duty.

The feared Monkey Pox pandemic has not prevailed.

Queen Elizabeth II died during the month and Charles II became king.

The WHO declared the world was coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic, but warned outbreaks will still occur.

US President Biden declared the pandemic over in the USA.

Generally, all over the world the amount of news on Covid-19 is drying up, making it difficult to follow the state of the pandemic.

My graphs have become erratic due to the lack of continuous data. However the general trends can still be seen.

In summary my graphs show:

The rate of hospitalisation in Australia is declining rapidly

A corresponding fall in the those requiring respirators has occurred, and the % of people requiring a respirator has remained level.

The virus reproduction rate, an indicator of the spread of the virus continues to decrease.

The daily death rate due to Covid-19 has taken a sharp downward turn

The number of new daily cases is also falling sharply.
