October 2022 What Pandemic? The world moves on.

The amount of data available for Covid-19 continues to decline.

World has passed 635 million cases of Covid-19, it had 12,705,220 new cases of Covid-19 and 45443 new deaths  due to Covid-19 in October 2022

Australia removed most Covid-19 restrictions, including the requirement to isolate. You still have to report if you contract the disease in most jurisdictions and mask wearing is still required in designated places.

The UK’s newly appointed Prime Minister, Liz Truss, resigned, becoming the person to hold the position for the shortest in history at 46 days.

The eastern states of Australia have suffered extensive flooding for an extended time period through the month

The Chinese Communist Party re-elected President Xi for a 3rd 5 year term.

China continues with its Zero Tolerance policy with respect to Covid-19, resulting in ongoing lock-downs around the country.

New vaccines “tweaked” for the Omicron variant have been released.

Australia appears to have reached a Covid-19 plateau. It appear that it is getting no worse and no better from the beginning of the month. The fears of possible widespread infection with the dropping of mandated requirement has not materialised.
