Greg and Deb’s Circumnavigation of Australia- Day 4 Perth

Happy Mothers Day to our mums and all the other mothers out there.

Today also marks 10 years since we moved into our home in Adelaide City.

Last night, after the blog was posted, P sent us a text with photos of the Aurora he had taken from his back yard. So at about 10:20pm, we were out in the street in front of our bnb taking photos of the southern sky. The Aurora isn’t visible to the naked eye (in suburlit streets), but we both got some photos of it, Deb’s were much better than mine, as you can see. We had a very quiet, relaxing, unhurried day in Connolly. Did a bit of domestic type stuff and began to think about our day tomorrow, Broome bound – flight check in, Broome airport transport, etc.
We called our mums during the day and wished them very happy Mothers Days, was great chatting to them both.

We started packing mid-afternoon and then headed over to see P, A H and J, and Chip. Almost as soon as we got there H asked me to go and play trains with him in his room. We got there and H told me he had his dad make a few improvements to the track we laid yesterday. What P had done was amazing, I was very impressed, and so was H. They are off to Bali next week so we played picking up passengers from the airport and taking them to a train station to get a bus to the fancy hotel, H loved the idea and got right into it.

P made home made pizzas for Mothers Day dinner for A and the rest of us. They were delicious.

Deb and I bathed the kids after dinner and it was off to bed for J straight after. They were both pretty tired, especially J, so it didn’t take long for him to go to sleep. H still had a bit of time up.

We left them all to settle in for the night. It was so good to catch up with them all. The kids are growing up so quickly.
We got back to our bnb and 90% finished packing, a little bit left for the morning and then we plan to leave around 7:45am for the airport.
