Greg and Deb’s Circumnavigation of Australia- Day 9 Broome

The lazy days keep rolling on.

Happy birthday to E, Deb’s mum, we gave her a call and she sounded full of the joys of life.

We had a very lazy morning, we just laid around and read.

At 8.30am Deb lit a candle for S. Vale, to a beautiful soul.

I had a swim after lunch and then we started getting ready for our next adventure. Did our washing and repacked our bags. It just so happened that as we were doing this an artist started playing guitar and singing around our pool area. Great layback, familiar music.

We tried to get a late checkout for tomorrow but sadly someone is coming into our room, but they did give us until 11am.

Enough suspense, lol, tomorrow we board The Coral Geographer, to start an 11 day cruise from Broome to Darwin, exploring all the nooks and crannies of the Kimberley coast, and beyond. It’s been on our bucket list for a long time.

Dinner tonight was at the Sunset Bar. We had a delicious dinner accompanied by another amazing sunset. We saw the Coral Adventurer cruise passed at about 5:40pm, that will be us tomorrow on the Coral Geographer.

And that ended our day and our last night in Broome this time around.

Big day tomorrow!

PS
I mentioned the Sausage Tree in our blog yesterday, I forgot to say how unwise it is to sit under one when they are dropping their fruit, like they are now. The following pics show the fruit in the tree and one in my hand, this one is probably about 750g!
