Turkiye, Portugal, Spain and Dubai Day 5 Perth 7 Sept 25

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there.
This morning we packed our bags ready for our international flights and checked out of our bnb.
Its Fathers Day. Deb gave me a card from Carly & family, and i got a thoughtful message from Ben & family. I had a lovely video call from Laura with A & O. Does your heart good.
We got around to Pat and Alyce’s a bit after 11, we called in to get cold meds for me, figures I’d pick up a bug just a couple of days before an 11 & 5hr flight. When we got there they were all cuddled up on the lounge with Chip. Very cosy.
It was good spending time with them all, we played a couple of games H got for his birthday, and then just sat around chatting.
We eventually said our goodbyes around 1pm and headed into Perth. We are stayed at the Melbourne Hotel, our flight leaves at 6:00am, and we get picked up at about 3:15am to go to the airport. So staying in town made more sense than out in the burbs.
After we checked in, we dropped the car off out at the airport and got a cab back to the city. Who would have thought that all rental car depots close on Sunday afternoons, except at the airport!
We had dinner at a Ramen Restaurant attached to the hotel, I think our Ramen etiquette needs some work. It was tasty and easy, so objective met.
It all starts tomorrow, by 6pm tomorrow (our time) we will be in Istanbul.
