Sydney Norfolk Island and Gosford Jan Feb 2016

23 Jan 2016 Adelaide to Woolloomooloo, Sydney.

Holiday time, yay!!!!!
We had an easy morning, got to the airport around 10am and our flight left on time at 11am
Our driver picked us up at the airport (it just takes all the hassle out of it getting a hire car rather than a taxi, and for not much more) and delivered us to our hotel, The Ovolo in Woolloomooloo. It’s very comfortable and a great location. Continue reading

Day 1 Wednesday 8 July 2015  : Let’s get Cruising.

Our shuttle from the Central Coast dropped us off right at the entrance to the overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay in Sydney. (It took almost 2 hrs to do the drive down).

After playing a little Ingress around the Quay and the Rocks area we boarded the ship. The security getting on board seemed to only worry about 2 things.  Continue reading

Days 49 and 50 LA to Adelaide via Brisbane. 4 and 5 May 2015

Our flight left a little after midnight, a problem with the entertainment system caused the hold up. They didn’t want a plane load of passengers complaining about no TV or Movies! So Deb had a few minutes of her birthday in LA after all. Continue reading

Day 46 Santa Monica Los Angeles California Friday 1 May 2015 USA Day 17

We woke this morning to a very foggy Santa Monica, we couldn’t see much further than the other side of the road from our hotel, let alone the Pier. We found out late than this is the May/June Fog, and it happens every year at the change of season and is caused by ocean temperature variations and currents. It normally burns off by mid/late morning. Continue reading
