Trump has signed a deal with pharmaceutical company Pfizer to supply the USA with 100 million vaccine doses, once they become available.

California has surpassed New York and the worst hiot state in the USA with over 400,000 infections and   over 7,800 deaths.

Daniel Andrews, the Victorian Premier, has announced that  90% of people who feel ill are taking too long to get tested and that of those tested over 50% don not self quarantine until they get their test results. He puts these to factors down for the cause of the Victorian outbreak.

NSW has a surge of infections around Sydney extending from Sydney’s south west to Port Stephens in the north.

  • The median age of death for people who caught coronavirus was 80.
  • Men were more likely to die from the virus than women.
  • Australians aged 20 to 29 had the highest number of infections; people aged over 70 had the lowest.
  • Women aged 20 to 29 and 60 to 69 were the most likely among females to be infected, while men aged 60 to 79 were the most likely among males.
  • Cases acquired overseas made up the bulk of infections in the study period.
  • Three-quarters of infections picked up in Australia were from close contacts, with one in 10 cases involving an unknown contact.”

The world has recorded over 16 million cases of Covid-19, the last million in 4 days!

The UK is now number 10 on the list of most infected countries,

That list is now, in order of severity: USA, Brazil, India, Russia, South Africa, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Spain and UK,

In Australia, Victoria is suffering a wide ranging outbreak through nursing homes. Queensland is looking to tighten its border restrictions, NSW is looking to tighten restrictions, South Australia is tightening its gathering restrictions.

It seems that Spanish speaking countries are suffering some of the worst numbers.

South Africa is said to be running out of control with Covid-19 widespread through the country. It now has over half of all of Africa’s cases.

North Korea has announced that they “may” have their first cases of Covid-19, as a previous defector crosses back into North Korea. They have locked down an entire city as a response.
