Western Australia 2011 – Our Route

It’s all coming together slowly but surely. Our route seems to be fairly well agreed.

From Adelaide we head out to Port Augusta, then to: Ceduna, Eucla Norseman, Kalgoorlie (including the Nullabor Golf Course, the World’s Longest Golf Course, 18-hole par 71 golf course which spans 1,365 kilometres in 15 towns.), Esperance, Albany, New Norcia, Geraldton, Monkey Mia ( and maybe Steep Point, the most Westerly Point of mainland Australia), Quobba Station, Ningaloo Reef (hopefully swimming with the Whale Sharks), Exmouth, Port Hedland, Eighty Mile Beach, Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek, Wyndham / Kununurra, Timber Creek / Gregory National Park, Katherine, Kakadu NP / Jabiru, Darwin, Daly Waters, Alice Springs, Coober Pedy and Home. We are by-passing Broome as we have been there before and expect it to be pretty busy.

That makes a road trip of about 10500km (6500 miles) in about 8 weeks.  Next thing is to get ourselves a caravan that’s up to the trip.

For anyone interested the link here is for a bit more detail on the Nullabor Golf Course which I am looking forward to playing.
