Turkiye, Portugal, Spain and Dubai Day 4 Perth 6 Sept 25

Slow morning then off to H’s 5th birthday party. H & J were both very quiet when we got there, H full of expectation for his party, 1pm start, and J was just plain tired.
At 1pm the skies opened up and the rain came down, just as 22 5 year olds with their parents were arriving for H’s party. It got a little hectic and loud inside the house. The kids were having so much fun. At 1:30pm the big highlight of the party arrived, The Gym Bus, a double decker bus decked out with all things climbing, jumping, swinging and a foam pit! One hour of solid fun for the kids. By the end of the hour all the kids had slowed down, a lot, and were noticeably quieter. It was then cake time. H is a monster truck fan, the family were all dressed up with inventive monster truck shirts, and his cake was a tall three layer, orange, iced creation with a chocolate, dirt mound on top and a Monster truck racing around the mound.H was so proud of his mum (and Nanna) for the cake they created, he couldn’t wait to show all his friends. We all sang happy birthday to him and he blew out his candle. It was then cake for all and a final bit of play. By around 3pm all the party bags had been handed out and all the children and their parents had left. Quiet descended on the house!
We helped clean-up, didn’t take long, then left them to open H’s presents and enjoy a quiet afternoon.
We went back to our Airbnb, Deb did some washing and then we put our feet up for the rest of the day.
