Turkiye, Portugal, Spain and Dubai Day 3 Perth 5 Sept 25

A quiet slow start today. We woke to very grey skies and rain, and the forecast was for up to 35mmof rain and strong winds.
We headed into Perth city this morning to see the exhibition, The Art of Banksy “Without Limits”. We timed our departure so we travelled between storm events, it mostly worked!
We tend to do exhibitions and the like, fairly quickly, at the entrance to the exhibition we were told it takes about an hour to go through, a friend, Lyn, had told us that it took her around 2 hrs. So in we went. It was different right from the start. “Security screening “ on the way in required that all unicorns, abominable snowmen and the like be left outside, we complied.
The exhibition was a mix of videos, prints (many of the originals), sculptures, projections and more. It all provided context to Banksy’s art and installations. The stories behind each piece were as fascinating as the art itself. You get a glimpse into the mind of the artist, and in Banksy’s case, their quirky twist on the things and events around us. From Rats, his iconic Balloon Girl, to Soup Cans (a salute to Warhol’s works), Missing Police, to Flower throwing Soldiers and Flying Saucers hovering over 19th century tall ships in his work UFO. He adds realism to events governments try to whitewash. It is a mind opening exhibition if you allow it to. We spent around 1.5hrs inside, which is eons in our world. If you get a chance to see this exhibition just do it, you wont regret it.
After that we had a great lunch at a small Cafe, Goldbucks Coffee, down the road a bit and then went “home” to relax.
After a relaxing afternoon we went to the kids home and had dinner with P, H & J, A went out to watch the Lions game with other supporters. (Unfortunately they lost). We had a relaxing time with the boys, lots of fun with the little ones. P made a delicious pasta dinner for us, and nuggets and chips for the kids. We left P as he put H to bed.
The end of another enjoyable day.
