Australia  The East Bit   Day 33  Seventeen Seventy  Qld  7 Aug 2016  0km

We woke early again, not quite as early as yesterday, but still early. We are a bit disappointed that we can’t get TV reception here for channel 7, and so can’t see any of the Olympics until we get to Noosa, but I guess that’s another 1st world problem!

We had a slow start to the day, Deb was following the Olympics via twitter and various other web sources. We took a walk down the road to the pub, to see if anything was happening there, ie Did they have a TV tuned to the Olympics, Nope, music videos were the order of the day, every day is my guess. 🙂

We walked back, I picked up some bait and we made our way back to the van. I decided to go wet a line. I got a lot of bites, and it wasn’t until I put a smaller hook on that I found out what was taking my bait, small bream! I landed one and let it go to grow up.

We had a very quiet afternoon, I went for a couple of walks while Deb read.

We finished the day on the beach watching the sunset, there was a lot of cloud around and the sunset was magnificent.

We had the last of our Karumba bream for tea, delicious and settled in for a “quiet” night.

This caravan park is the noisiest we have encountered. There are lots of young children, who seem to spend a good portion of their days whining! And then the sun goes down and their parents unwind!!
