We woke early’ish to a bright sunny day, had breakfast at 7:50am and were on the road a little before 8:30am.

It was a big day! And as enjoyable as it was different.

Another bright sunny day in Brixham, no really, Honest truth the weather was gorgeous!

Very slow morning. We woke to very bright morning sunshine, but the clouds came in and a light drizzle began.

We left our BnB just before 11am and walked to the waterfront area where we got our tickets for the short cruise to Dartmouth. After that, we walked up to a small hut of the footpath and bought a fresh crab sandwich. Deb has been waiting for this for a long time. We got it take away, and walked to the ferry wharf hoping for a seat by the water, unfortunately they were either all taken or wet. So we stood there and ate our sandwich, yes Deb shared her treasured sandwich with me. It was delicious, and Deb was one happy girl.

We bought a £5.00 day ticket for the bus this morning, first stop Paignton, to see where my great Aunt lived.   However, I had made a few assumptions.  And they never turn out ok! ? 

Said goodbye to David & Peter today at the Old School B & B around 8.30am. David has told us to go and visit the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth, so we stopped off on our way.  

This morning we woke to a sensational day, blue skies were visible through the clouds and the forecast was no rain. A perfect day for a stroll in the woods.

After breakfast we headed out to Kingley Vale National Nature Reserve,  we came to the carpark, left our coats and jumpers in the car and took off on the ¾ mile walk to the start of the walk!?

We woke this morning to a beautiful day of English liquid sunshine. And that more or less decided our activities for the day (no long outdoor walks today!).

We took our time getting started, nothing touristy here opens much before 10 or 11am. We left our BnB, ”The Old School House”, and headed to Petworth, about a 30min drive away through the country side.

Woke to a beautiful, crisp morning, the view from our window was stunning.   

After a final breakfast, we said goodbye to Eastbourne and around 9am headed to Sissinghurst Castle Garden 32 miles away.  It isn’t on the way to our next stop in Chichester, so we had decided not to go. But after chatting to Lyn this morning changed our mind.  So pleased we did.

We headed a few km away to Beachy Head early this morning for a 10km round walk to see the White Cliffs and The Seven Sisters.   

We decided to have a quiet day today and to just explore a little of Eastbourne on foot. We waited a little after breakfast for the morning showers to ease before we walked along the foreshore to the pier.
