Our next trip is all planned.

We head out from home and go to Broken Hill Dubbo, Tamworth, Port Stephens, Gosford, Sydney (Narrabeen/Lane Cove), Jarvis Bay, Tuross Heads, Mallacoota and Daylesford. About 4000km of adventure. Can’t wait.

We started the day very lazily with a lay in until about 8am, it was just too warm in bed to face the chilly morning. Luckily we had an invitation to breakfast at Tom and Vons, so all was great. Continue reading →

Our day started at the Willunga Farmers Markets. There were lots more stalls there than the last time we went and the prices seemed to be a bit better. The produce is always great, we picked up some grapes, cheeses, freshly baked bread and a couple of venison pies. )A delicious tea waits for us a bit later. Continue reading →

Its time to dust of the cobwebs in our van and take it for a very short spin to Port Willunga for a week and a half.

Just me, Deb and Aiko down on the coast, a short drive from McLaren Vale, a short walk to the beach and maybe time just to settle back with a good book.

Monday morning was a bit of a working morning for me.  Craig dropped his water blaster off and I cleaned the pavers in mum’s back yard.  I thought it would take me about 2hrs, but a bit over 4½hrs later the back looked sparkling clean, with all the moss and ground in grime blasted away and I was ready to be hosed down.   I surprised myself,  I was still able to move later in the day after I cooled down.  🙂 Continue reading →

Hoping Thomas had a lovely 24th birthday 🙂

It was a beautiful day here today sunny around 27, nicest day we have had since we got here.    We drove up to the Hunter Valley, just over an hour north from here, was lovely to be outside enjoying the day.   We went to the Hunter Valley gardens first, but they wanted $24 each to go in, so we didn’t bother!   There was a touristy village close by, we had a wander and look in the shops. We had a family day today.   Drove down to see Carmel & Ken and had some lunch with them, was lovely to catch up with them both.

Didn’t do much today, finished my book which I really enjoyed and Greg tinkered some more with Karlien’s computer and put another coat on the door, no spillage today 🙂

We got a good start this morning, left by 7am, filled up with diesel, watched the sunrise and we were on our way, travelled just over 900 km today, took 9 3/4 hours and it was uneventful   🙂   We arrived to a lovely 3 course, roast dinner.   Craig, Cook and Caitlin came over was great to see them all and catch up. 🙂 Continue reading →
