Port Victoria SA 23 & 24 Sept 2013
Monday 23 September2013 Port Victoria Yorke Peninsula SA
We were woken this morning at around 5:10am with what I thought was the sound of a train coming straight at us. It turned out to be a howling Nor-Westerly. Deb was first up and out of the van to rescue our table chairs and fishing gear. The wind was soooo strong, it took some effort just to open the van door! Anyway, we quickly had everything loose in the car and we retreated back to the van and the warmth of our bed. Continue reading

Sunday 22 September 2013 Port Vic to Adelaide to Port Vic, It’s Semi Finals Day
We had a full on day today, Brian, our live in nephew, was playing for North Adelaide in the SANFL League minor semi-final against Woodville West Torrens (Eagles).
The game started at 12:10, so we had to leave Port Vic early to drop Aiko home and get out to Footy Park for the game Continue reading

Port Victoria 21 Sept 2013
We woke at about 6:30, Aiko slept on our bed and she decided it was time to get up, or at least be taken out side. Reluctantly I got up and took her outside, it was a beautiful morning, still with blue skies and the warmth of the day was just starting to kick in. Continue reading

India – We are getting ready for you
Everything is booked for our India adventure in October / November, just waiting for the paperwork to come through.
As usual for all our more exotic holidays, we booked into to see “The Travel Bug”, our travel doctor. We went and saw them the other day, both of us expecting to just have to get 1 or 2 booster shots. But how we were mistaken. We always take their advice and get what they suggest. Continue reading

Carnival Spirit Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th July 2013 At Sea and In Sydney and Home – The End of our Cruise
Monday 15 July 2013 Our Last Day at Sea
Happy birthday to our niece Tara, we hope you’re enjoying your first birthday overseas and that London has turned on a great day for you.
After breakfast 8 of us went to join in on a behind the scenes tour of the ship (you had to be over 8, so the youngest 3 went to kids club for the morning). It was a great way to spend almost 3 hours. Continue reading

We had another lazy start to the day, we all met up for breakfast at about 9:15 (Dante andTessa were having their second breakfasts 🙂 ). We had another very leisurely breakfast. The serving staff seemed a bit under pressure this morning for some reason , and 1 or 2 of them weren’t coping very well. But as we left their smiles seemed to be breaking through again. (Maybe they were glad to see the back of us for the morning.) Continue reading

We had a very lazy morning. Sea days mean they run a brunch instead of breakfat in the main dining room. Sarah, Dante, Tessa and Sophia were up early for breakfast on the Lido, as were Kieran, Ella and Ethan. Carly was still feeling the effects of being “Gluttened” yesterday. So Deb and I met Ben down at the dining room around 9:15 for a very relaxed and unhurried breakfast. Around 10:30 we managed to drag oursleves away and start the day. Deb went back to out cabin to read the papers on her iPad, Ben went back to his room and I went up to the Lido to catch up with the others. Continue reading

Thursday 11 July 2013 Mystery Island Vanuatu
Happy birthday Desi, our youngest niece is 7 🙂
We got the day started with what has become our usual Island hopping day routine, breakfast at 7:45, up to Deck 9 at 8:45 to get our Tender number, back to our room to get our stuff and then down to Deck 1 to get the tender over to the island. Somehow Ben and Sarah and their 3 children can get all that done quicker than Deb and I, go figure huh!! Continue reading

Carnival Spirit Wednesday 10 July 2013 Mare, Nouvelle Caledonie
After breakfast we went up to Deck nine to get our tender number, basically a boarding pass for the boats taking us ashore. Got our number, went back to our cabins and got our stuff and headed straight to Deck A midships to board the tender for the 5 minute ride to Mare. Continue reading
