Carnival Spirit Tuesday 9 July 2013 Noumea New Caledonia.
We crawled out of bed around 7am and opened the curtains to find us sailing into Noumea, it was a bit strange seeing land again. The skies were a bit cloudy, but the storm of last night was nowhere to be seen.
After breakfast we all got off the ship around 9am and got a shuttle bus to the main Shipping Terminal. Our boat is so big it had to park at the Container wharf. Continue reading

We had a time zone change last night and the breakfast / lunch arrangements for today is a very long Brunch. We are way out to sea now, my phone GPS gives us at S026 deg 21.3 mins E161 deg 30.3 mins as I write this bit before we head out. Ben was talking of having Fillet Mignon and eggs to start the day. Carnival Spirit Our Pacific Cruise July 2013 Day 1 and 2
Cruise Time 5 July 2013
We have been building up to this day for almost a year now. Our first big liner cruise, and we are sharing it with Ben and Carly and their families. (Pat and Laura decided they didn’t want to join us and in the end Laura had her first Marathon run up at the Gold Coast the weekend we left-more on that later)
